Shakespeare and Soundtracks is an innovative program giving kids practical skills in music and dramatic stagecraft as well as the invaluable experience of performing in front of an audience.
Our teachers specialise in making the language of Shakespeare fun and accessible for primary aged kids.

Shakespeare & Soundtracks was the first time my kids had ever performed and they relished it! They loved all the preparation - making props and memorising their lines. So many nerves before the show and such a high after it. They were so proud of their performances. Now they know they can do it they take other opportunities to perform at school.
Kids will dive into the fundamentals of piano playing, rhythm and improvisation, whilst exploring a variety of instruments and learning how to tell stories through music. Whether they're beginners or budding musicians, they'll discover the joy of making music together.
From suspenseful tales to whimsical fantasies, our campers will explore a variety of genres through music and drama. They'll learn scenes from Shakespeare infused with themes of suspense, fantasy, comedy, and action, bringing classic stories to life on stage.
Get ready to shine in the spotlight! Kids will collaborate to perform dramatic pieces of music alongside captivating scenes from Shakespearean classics. It's a unique opportunity to blend two art forms and showcase their talents in a memorable performance at the end of the camp.
Beyond the stage and the keys, our camp fosters real-world skills, boosts confidence and encourages creative expression. Through interactive activities and hands-on learning, kids will unleash their imagination, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork skills.
Who says learning can't be fun? Our camp is packed with exciting games, activities, and crafts. Children will have the opportunity to create their own props and design sets for the big performance at the end of camp, ensuring laughter and joy every step of the way.
Geri Green and Ellie Breakspear are local Manly mums with over 40 years combined teaching experience, they're passionate about inspiring young minds in the dramatic and musical arts.
Geri is the founder of the highly regarded piano school Prima Piano, and has been teaching kids for over 20 years whilst also working in the Australian Film and TV industries as a composer, orchestrator and music producer, regularly performing and recording her own soundtracks. In 2020 she founded PianoPlaybox.com through which she creates and sells innovative teaching resources and music games, and has published her original sheet music compositions and her Sensory Sight Reading method book series.
Ellie worked in London as a professional actress on screen and in theatre for over a decade. Specialising in Shakespeare, she performed as Juliet in ‘Romeo and Juliet’, Helena in ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Beatrice in ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ and many other roles. Back home in Sydney, Ellie has worked as a co-curricular drama teacher at Redlands, St Lukes and Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College, and is passionate about introducing Shakespeare to primary school aged children.
As a parent who has tried several drama camps, I can confidently say that Shakespeare and Soundtracks is our favorite! My kids loved the hands-on approach, where they were involved in everything from set design to music creation. They really felt engaged in the entire process. The program was tailored to each child’s interests, allowing them to explore different creative areas while still having fun. The beach breaks were also a great way to recharge and keep the kids energized.
Ellie, Geri and Paola were fantastic—supportive, engaging, and great at bringing out the best in the kids. My children came home excited each day, and I could see their confidence grow.
Shakespeare and Soundtracks will definitely be our top choice next time, and we’re already looking forward to returning!
All kids will have the opportunity to showcase their new skills and creativity in our End-Of-Camp Show on the the final day of each camp, at 4pm.
